Student Life @ IIT Jodhpur
(1) Gymkhana
IIT Jodhpur assures a holistic development of students. The Institute provides an excellent academic environment that allows nurturing multidimensional talents of a student. Through Students Gymkhana, the Institute creates ample opportunity for a student to hone their skills in various extra and co-curricular activities. The Students Gymkhana is a student body comprised of seven student societies namely Students.

- Design & Arts,
- Sports & Games Society,
- Campus Life Society,
- Student Elected Represented Society,
- Academic & Career Society and ,
- Science & Technology Society
The societies are headed by Student Secretaries and the Gymkhana is led by Student General Secretary. Through various clubs under each societies both extra-curricular and co-curricular activities are organized throughout the academic year. Students of IIT Jodhpur participate in various national and international level events and bring accolades. Flagship events of different societies keep the campus atmosphere colourful and vibrant.
(2) Extra-curricular activities and events
The major events of IIT Jodhpur that reiterates the prime focus of the institute of wholesome development of students includes IGNUS – techno-cultural festival, one of its kind in the State of Rajasthan, Nimble – the Science and Technology festival, Tech Expo – exhibition of technical projects taken up by students, Framed – flagship event of Design & Arts society showcasing the artistic endeavour of IIT Jodhpur and neighbouring students, Virasaat – the SPICMACAY festival.
(3) Women’s Cell
- Functions in accordance with the provisions contained in Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013
- Established to create a safe and active environment which boosts all round developments of women members
- Several conferences and workshops being conducted from time to time covering topics like women health, gender sensitization, gender intelligence etc
(4) SC/ST Helpdesk
- Has desisted any kind of discrimination against Students and Employees of SC and ST Categories
- A dedicated team comprising of faculty member and a senior administrative officer to address any related matters
(5) Ragging-free campus
- Zero tolerance to ragging
- A dedicated anti-ragging team ensuring safe and peaceful environment to the newbie’s.
- Police station located a few hundred meters away from the Institute.
