Curriculum
The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers five-degree programs, namely:
- B.Tech. (ME) Program
- B.Tech. - M.Tech (ME) (5 years)
- M.Tech (Thermofluids Engineering) Program
- M.Tech (Advanced Manufacturing and Design) Program
- M.Tech-PhD Dual degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Advanced Manufacturing
- M.Tech-PhD Dual degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Thermofluids
- M.Tech-PhD Dual degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Design Engineering
- Ph.D. Program in Mechanical Engineering
The curricula of these programs are:
(1) Curriculum of the B.Tech. (ME) Program,
(ii) After 2019
(a) First year B.Tech course applicable from 2019
(b) Proposed Transition Plan for B.Tech. Batches: 2016, 2017 and 2018
(c) Second Year B.Tech curriculum from August 2020 onwards
(2) Curriculum of the M.Tech. (ME) Program,
(ii) After 2019
(a) M.Tech (Advanced Manufacturing and Design)
(b) M.Tech (Thermofluids Engineering)
(6) Curriculum of the Ph.D. Program in Mechanical Engineering
