Welcome To The Health Center, IIT Jodhpur

The Health Centre (HC) has been started at the Permanent Campus of IIT Jodhpur from 15 June 2017. IIT Jodhpur provides round-the-clock health care facilities to Students, Faculty/ Staff Members and their dependents, also other residents and working staff of the Institute.

This fully equipped and self-sufficient facility is run under the supervision of Professor-in-charge Health Center (PIC-HC) and Medical Officers (MO) with advice provided by the Medical Service User’s Committee (MSUC).

Presently, the following facilities are available at the Health Centre (HC):

  1. Medical Officers (24 x 7),
  2. Regular visits of specialist doctors (Psychiatrist, Gynae ologist, Paediatrician, ENT, Medicine, Orthopaedician),
  3. Nursing Officers, Male & Female (24 x7),
  4. Diagnostic Laboratory,
  5. Physiotherapy Unit,
  6. In-house Pharmacy,
  7. 24 x7 Emergency Room and Daycare Room,
  8. Separate Male and Female Wards and Isolation Rooms,
  9. 01 ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Ambulance,
  10. Ayurvedic, Homeopathic and Naturopathic and other consultants visit twice a week.
Hospital Tie-Ups and Medical Support Network

In addition to on-campus healthcare, IIT Jodhpur has established formal agreements with several leading hospitals to ensure priority treatment for its students, faculty, staff, and their registered dependents.

These include (1) Goyal Hospital and Research Centre, (2) MediPulse Hospital, (3) ASG Eye Hospital, and (4) Vasundhara Hospital.

Stakeholders may also avail of medical services at AIIMS Jodhpur, S.N. Medical College, and other State Government Hospitals as needed.

The Institute Health Center (HC) plays a central role in coordinating and supervising the treatment of patients admitted to these empanelled hospitals. This ensures continuity of care and assistance during hospitalization.

Extension of Medical Services


Arrangements are routinely made for specialist doctor visits on the campus (Psychiatrist, Gynaecologist, Paediatrician, ENT Specialists, Endocrinologist, Orthopedic Specialist) on a weekly basis.

The Health Center also organizes various Health Awareness, Medical Screening, Vaccination Camps and Blood donation camps in coordination with Hospitals and other Agencies.

The Health Center is the first point of contact for any medical needs, and it aims to cater & provide primary health care to the students, staff, faculties, and their dependent(s) in the campus.

The following Institute Medical Officers are available on campus in rotating shifts, ensuring 24/7 medical coverage for the IITJ community:

Access to Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare

Sexual and reproductive health services, including education and counselling, are provided by the visiting Gynaecologists and Medical Officers. These services are essential to supporting the overall well-being and awareness of the campus community.


Visiting Physicians and Specialists

One MD Physician is available daily (except Sundays) from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Health Center.
