Alumni Induction Programme

The Alumni Induction Programme is thoughtfully organized on the evening of the convocation day every year, followed by a gala networking dinner. Delegates of the convocation ceremony participate alongside the Director, Deputy Director, officials from the Office of Alumni Relations, faculty, staff, and representatives from the Alumni Society. This gathering creates an opportunity to formally welcome new graduates into the dynamic and ever-growing IIT Jodhpur alumni community.

The programme is designed to celebrate the significant milestone of transitioning from students to alumni, fostering a lifelong connection between the institute and its graduates. It acknowledges their academic achievements and marks the beginning of their journey as active contributors and ambassadors of the institute’s legacy.

Legacy- The Graduating Fund Raiser Campaign

The Legacy Event is organized on the day prior to the convocation ceremony, during the registration process for graduating students. Spearheaded by the Office of Alumni Relations with the active support of the Student Team, this event serves as a platform to engage graduates in meaningful philanthropy. Each year, a specific cause is selected to focus the fundraising efforts, encouraging graduating students to contribute towards initiatives that benefit the broader student community.

Over the years, the Legacy Event has successfully raised funds for the infrastructure development of student co-working spaces. This space will provide an environment conducive to collaboration, innovation, and learning beyond the classroom.

To date, approximately over ₹10 lakh has been raised through these collective efforts, which has been specifically earmarked for the enhancement and expansion of the student co-working spaces. This legacy of generosity continues to inspire new graduates and alumni to contribute towards creating a thriving and supportive academic community.

Alumni Day & Dashak

Alumni Day at IIT Jodhpur is a cherished annual tradition that brings graduates back to campus for a vibrant reunion, allowing them to reconnect with their alma mater and each other. Dashak, the institute’s decennial reunion, holds exceptional significance for the alumni network. Held once every ten years, this grand celebration reunites graduates from multiple batches to honor a decade of memories, milestones, and shared journeys. Dashak offers a unique opportunity for large-scale reconnection, reflection on the institute’s evolution, and contribution to its continued growth. With a blend of celebration, nostalgia, and renewed commitment, Dashak embodies the lasting spirit and unity of the IIT Jodhpur family.
