Dr. Pradip Sasmal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IITJ), Rajasthan, India. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from IIT Hyderabad (2017), an M.Sc. from the University of Hyderabad (2011), and a B.Sc. from the University of Calcutta (2009). Before joining IIT Jodhpur, Dr. Sasmal was a postdoctoral fellow at IIT Hyderabad (April 2021–May 2022) and at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore (August 2017–March 2021). His research interests encompass finite frame theory, compressed sensing (CS), physics-informed neural networks (PINNs), reinforcement learning (RL), and lightweight neural networks.
