Specifications:
- Elemental Analysis technique
- Analysis Range: Sodium (Na) to Americium (Am).
- Concentration Range: 100 % to ppm level.
- X-Ray Source: Ag anode target (15W).
- Tube Filters: Six, Software selectable (Blank, Cu 300 µm, Cu 500 µm, Al 50 µm, Al 200 µm, Ti 7 µm, Ag 100 µm)
- Detector: Silicon Drift detector with active area 30 mm2, having resolution ≤ 140 eV @ Mn Kα
- Ten autosampler positions with spinner, circular sample holders
- Software: Omnian (standardless) software for qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Sample Preparation Equipment:
- Vibratory cup mill for fine grinding of powders to 50-micron size.
- 40-ton motorized Hydraulic press with a Die Set of 35 mm.
Application:
- Quality assurance through elemental analysis of raw materials like limestone, clays, and final cement products.
- Rapidly determine the elemental composition in ores, rocks, and minerals for exploration and quality control.
- Analysis of heavy metals and pollutants in soil, sediments, and airborne particulates.
Sample Requirement
- Sample Form: Solid, liquid, Powder, Paste.
- Dust-free flat solid sample.
- Solid block/pallets of circular shape having a flat diameter from 28 to 50 mm.
- Samples in powder form should be of a grain size around 50 microns, and preferred to make pellets for a good signal-to-noise ratio.
- The minimum amount of sample needed to make a pellet is 10 grams. Boric Acid is used as a binding agent for making pellets.
- Liquid samples can also be analyzed.
- For quantification, loss on ignition (LOI) and free moisture parameters are needed and provided by the user.
- Quantification is performed using the Omnian method, a standardless method.
- Quantification can be provided in oxide form and elemental form, depending on the user's requirement.
