Specifications
- Identifies material "fingerprints" based on vibrational frequencies, offering precise molecular and structural insights.
- Equipped with three excitation lasers: 355 nm, 532 nm, and 785 nm.
- Measures Raman shift from 50 to 4000 cm⁻¹.
- Used for identifying chemical bonds, determining phases (symmetry), analyzing stress/strain (bond length changes), and probing the electronic structure of nanomaterials.
- Can analyse thin films, solid pellets, and powdered samples.
- Objective lenses of 10X, 20X, 50X, and 100X magnification.
Application:
- Identifies and verifies active pharmaceutical ingredients and excipients in tablets without destroying the sample.
- Detects and identifies unknown substances like drugs and explosives, or traces evidence in forensics quickly and accurately.
- Differentiates between natural and synthetic gems or minerals based on their molecular composition, often used in gemology.
- Analyzes pigments and materials in historical paintings or artifacts non-destructively to aid restoration and authentication.
