Associate ProfessorBiography
I am currently an associate professor in the Department of Physics, IIT Jodhpur. I have joined IIT Jodhpur as an assistant professor in 2011. Before joining IIT jodhpur, I worked as an Alexander von Humboldt fellow in Institute of Theoretical Physics, J. W. Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany. Prior to that I worked as Centenary Fellow in department of Physics, Indian Institute of Science (IISc.), Bangalore, India for one year. I was a research associate in Theory Division of Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kolkata India for three years. I obtained my Ph. D. degree from Jadavpur University in 2006.
Research
I work on interface of nuclear-particle physics and astrophysics. My interests in in compact stellar objects composed of highly dense matter. It focusses on the application of dense matter model to the astrophysical observables. The research field covers Pulsars, Magentars, X-ray binaries
