Farhat Naz

An Associate Professor of Sociology, at the School of Liberal Arts, IIT Jodhpur, India. She is a development sociologist by academic training, and her present research is focussed on sustainability, policy and governance. She is an alumna of University of Bonn, Germany; Australian National University, Australia; Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and University of Delhi, India. Farhat is a DAAD and Endeavour Fellow. Currently, she is a DAAD Research Ambassador for 2022-25. She has conducted development research in a diverse array of countries of South Asia, South-East Asia and Africa. Her expertise and research interest includes: Natural Resource Management, Water Governance, Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change Adaptation, Gender, Sanitation, and Governance Studies, to name a few.
