Dr. Subham Jain is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Infrastructure Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur. He joined the institute in September 2025.

Dr. Jain completed his joint M.Tech-Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, specializing in pavement surface texture characterization. He completed his B.Tech from NIT Silchar.

Dr. Jain’s research interests lie in the field of pavement functional evaluation and aggregate shape characterization, with a particular focus on automated pavement surface texture measurement, surface texture analysis, pavement friction estimation from surface texture and automated aggregate angularity estimation.

He has published various peer-reviewed publications and conference papers, and has patents granted in these research areas. He has also received the May award for engineering excellence by IIT Kanpur and the iGrip research award for Master’s thesis by IIT Gandhinagar.
