Faculty member at the School of Liberal Arts, IIT Jodhpur. Prior to this, he served in various organisations, including IIM Shillong, IIE Guwahati, NIRD&PR (NERC), ASRLM, and PRADAN. He has led 10 research projects funded by ICSSR, NHRC, NABARD, NEDFi and others. His works have appeared in various journals such as Area Development and Policy, Development in Practice, Sociological Bulletin, Local Development and Society. Bhaskar is an accredited International Peace Fellow, recognised by SAP, MGM University, Gujarat Vidyapeeth, and the Sabarmati Ashram Trust. A creative writer in Assamese, he has published over 100 poems and stories and authored two books on Assamese theatre. Actively involved in theatre as an actor and director, he has participated in five theatre workshops and six international theatre festivals. The Assam Sahitya Sabha felicitated him for his contribution to Assamese literature and theatre in 2020, and he received the 'Social Service Award 2024' from the Dispur Press Club for his contributions to rural development.
