About

Dr. Manoj Gupta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. Prior to joining IIT Jodhpur, he served as a Program Manager for the TERACOMM initiative, where he led the development of a terahertz 6G communication testbed during his postdoctoral research at the Centre for Disruptive Photonic Technologies (CDPT), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.

Dr. Gupta received his Ph.D. in Terahertz Photonics from NTU Singapore in January 2019. He earned his B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee in 2007. In 2025, he established the Millimeter-wave and Terahertz Microsystems Laboratory (MMTμL) in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Jodhpur.

His research focuses on terahertz devices and systems for on-chip and free-space communication, imaging, and sensing applications, with an emphasis on millimeter-wave and next-generation 6G technologies. He has published his research in leading high-impact international journals (Nature Materials, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials) and conferences in the areas of terahertz photonics, metamaterials, millimeter-wave systems, and 6G communications, and actively contributes to advancing terahertz-enabled technologies through both fundamental and applied research.
