About

Dr. Jaiveer Singh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Materials Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur. He is also an affiliate faculty and a Program Management Committee member of the Centre for Medical Technologies at IIT Jodhpur. His research primarily focuses on microstructure and texture evolution, thermo-mechanical processing, mechanical behavior of materials, and the design and development of light alloys and biomaterials. He is also actively involved in research on additive manufacturing technologies used for patient-specific implants.

Before joining IIT Jodhpur, Dr. Singh worked as a Research Professor at Sunchon National University, Suncheon, Republic of Korea. During his tenure there, he investigated deformation and fracture mechanisms in magnesium (Mg) alloys under mini-V-bending and Erichsen testing at room temperature. He received his Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science from IIT Bombay in 2015. His doctoral research focused on the microstructural and textural evolution during deformation in zirconium. To date, he has published more than 50 research articles in SCI/SCIE-indexed journals and has 5 patents filed. He also serves as a reviewer for several esteemed journals and international conferences.
