Dr. Amit Sharma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Infrastructure Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur. His specialization lies in environmental engineering, with a specific focus on air pollution. His research involves weather forecasting, climate modeling, and air pollution studies using complex model simulations on supercomputers. This work is supplemented by comprehensive data analysis from satellites, radiosondes, and various ground-based instruments.

He has been serving as an Assistant Professor at IIT Jodhpur since July 2020. Prior to this, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Washington State University, where he focused on wildfire modeling. He has also held visiting scholar positions at the University of Manchester, specializing in aerosol chemical speciation, and at the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry, where he contributed to weather research and forecasting.
