An Assistant Professor of Art and Aesthetics at the School of Liberal Arts, IIT Jodhpur. He earned his PhD from the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad, and has over 15 years of interdisciplinary experience at the intersection of art, design, and community-based research. His work focuses on Indigenous knowledge systems and developing sustainable solutions for artisan communities across India. Dr. Lohar has been associated with several research projects and initiatives documenting, preserving, and empowering traditional art practices. He has received numerous prestigious awards and fellowships, including the Junior Fellowship from the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), and has participated in international artist residencies. His scholarly interests include Indian folk aesthetics, visual grammar, and the media empowerment of traditional artists. Through his work, Dr. Lohar contributes meaningfully to both academic scholarship and real-world applications that benefit marginalized creative communities.
