Assistant ProfessorAbout
I am Ravi P. Srivastava, currently serving in the Department of Materials Engineering at IIT Jodhpur, which I joined in 2024. I hold an M.Tech. in Materials Science and Engineering from Thapar University and earned my Ph.D. in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. My academic and research journey has provided me with a strong foundation in the fundamental and advanced concepts of Materials Science.
I have worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea, where I focused on the fabrication and characterization of various types of solar cells, including perovskite, hybrid, inorganic, and those with transparent electrodes. My research has explored innovative strategies such as interfacial engineering, electrode and composition tuning to enhance device performance. I have also developed and studied a novel transfer printing method for the cost-effective fabrication of solar cells.
Beyond energy harvesting, my research extends into energy storage technologies. I have worked on the development of solid-state sodium-ion batteries, employing composite polymer electrolytes to improve their efficiency and stability.
At IIT Jodhpur, my ongoing research encompasses the fabrication and characterization of solar cells, sodium-ion batteries, sensors, and medical instruments. My work aims to contribute to sustainable energy solutions and the advancement of smart functional materials.
