Assistant Professor at School of Liberal Arts in development economics area at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur, earned her Ph.D. from IIT Bombay in 2020, where she received the Excellence in Ph.D. Research Award. Dr. Choudhary has published in esteemed journals such as Social Indicators Research, PLOS ONE, and the International Journal of Social Economics. In 2017, she received the RDW Fellowship from the International Labour Organization in Geneva. She has led the Evaluation of Ashirwad Water Challenge as Knowledge partner. She is the principal investigator for a research project funded by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) under the Viksit Bharat 2047 special call. This project, titled "Socio-Economic Influences on the Intergenerational Transmission of Indigenous Occupational Skills in Western Rajasthan," investigates how traditional skills are passed down through generations and the socio-economic factors affecting this process. The study aims to provide valuable insights into cultural sustainability and socio-economic mobility in the region . Dr. Choudhary's research focuses on development economics, education and health economics, public policy, and gender studies, with a particular emphasis on intergenerational mobility. Her work contributes to understanding the dynamics of cultural heritage preservation and the socio-economic development of communities in Rajasthan.
