Dr. Pradeep Kumar Dammala is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Infrastructure Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur. His research focuses on soil dynamics, soil-structure interaction, pile foundations, seismic requalification studies, aeolian sand dune dynamics, and sustainable geotechnical solutions.
Soil and Advanced Foundation Analysis for Resilient Infrastructure (SAFARI) Lab
The SAFARI research group at IIT Jodhpur is dedicated to enhancing infrastructure resilience against natural and human-induced disasters by studying soil behavior and designing stable foundations. SAFARI Group has received several prestigious accolades for their research:
- DST-DAAD Fellowship - Dr. Pradeep and Ms. Sumaja in collaboration with Prof. Eric Parteli
- Research Impact Award from the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK - Dr. Pradeep
- SERB SIRE Fellowship - Dr. Pradeep
- Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Research Fellowship - Dr. Pradeep and Ms. Sumaja
- Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF) to Ms. Sumaja
- Additionally, members of his group have been recognized with the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) OVDF, the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) Travel Grants, the Institute of International Finance (IIF) Fellowship, and the Commonwealth Split-site Fellowship.
