1. Introduction

The BS. / BSc. in Applied Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is a cutting-edge undergraduate programme offered by IIT Jodhpur in collaboration with Futurense.uni. Designed for the next generation of technology professionals, this programme provides a rigorous blend of theoretical foundations and hands-on industry practice in AI, machine learning, and data science.

In an era where Artificial Intelligence is reshaping every sector — from healthcare and finance to manufacturing and creative industries — this programme equips students with the competencies needed to design, build, and deploy AI-driven solutions. Graduates will be industry-ready for new-age, tech-driven roles and also positioned for advanced academic pathways.

The programme adopts a Stackable Degree Model, allowing students to pursue a 3-year BSc. or extend for an additional year to earn a 4-year BS. degree, offering flexibility to align academic goals with career ambitions.


2. Programme Objectives

The BS. /BSc. in Applied AI and Data Science programme is designed to build a strong foundation in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, and Computing while equipping learners with practical skills in modern AI technologies and industry-relevant tools. The programme aims to develop analytical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation capabilities, enabling students to design and deploy AI-driven solutions for real-world challenges. Through a blend of academic rigor, hands-on learning, industry engagement, and project-based experiences, the programme prepares graduates for emerging technology careers, higher education, research opportunities, and lifelong learning in the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence.

  • Campus Immersion is a unique element of the program, which is non mandatory. It offers learners an optional opportunity to visit IIT Jodhpur campus for 3-5 days each academic year based on the operational feasibility of IIT Jodhpur.

6. Campus Immersion

Campus Immersion is a unique, non-mandatory component of the programme that offers learners an optional opportunity to visit the IIT Jodhpur campus for 3–5 days during each academic year, subject to the operational feasibility of IIT Jodhpur. The immersion experience enables students to engage with faculty and peers, participate in academic and networking activities, and gain first-hand exposure to the institute’s academic, research, and innovation ecosystem


7. Criteria of Eligibility

Minimum Academic Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 (Class XII) Board Examinations from a recognized board.
  • A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the 10+2 Board Examinations is required.
  • Mathematics must be one of the subjects studied at the 10+2 level.
