Baseline facilities
1. Free working space is provided to the startup companies (no rental)
2. All the equipment of the institute are made available to use by the startups. However, the equipment usage amounting to maximum of INR 5 lakhover a year are provided free of cost and, in any case, the cost of the consumable is borne by the startups. The details of the equipment are given in Annexure-I
3. The stake of the Institute is being defined carefully along with the requirement of startups. Startups may use the equipment of the Institute for the incubation period.The incubation period is for 18 months. The contract may be extended up to a maximum of 18 more months on chargeable basis.
For the free services provided by the TISC, the startup companies will sign an agreement at the time of registration and will provide 5% equity share of their Pvt. Ltd. Company free of cost to TISC.
 
Agreement with startups
1. An agreement is signed with all startups for the incubation at TISC and the facilities to be provided free of cost, i.e., space, water, electricity, equipment usage, etc.
2. Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) is signed before release of any payment to the startups.
3. There will also be an agreement for any loan to be provided to the startups and all legal terms will be defined for its repayment.
4. The faculty member of IITJ can be mentors and may also become Board of Directors of the startup companies. However, faculty members will follow the due process to become the board of directors of companies and intimate the institute.
