Sunanda Sangwan

Dr Sunanda Sangwan's research focus is on marketing and technology intersection, exploring user adoption of new technologies from uses and gratification theory, theories of technology adoption perspectives to generate Marketing insights. Her research and teaching are motivated by the inevitable integration of technology in Business and Enterprises and impact on marketing functions and processes.

She has published her research work in well-known International Journals, and has presented her research in international conferences like INFORMS Marketing Science, ACR (American Chapter), IEEE chapters amongst others.

Sunanda has taught Marketing-related courses at various degree level programs, and Research Methods and Academic Writing for doctoral, and MS by research programs. Her current teaching for the MBA classes is on Marketing Research; New Technologies and Emerging Business Models; and Philosophy of Science and Academic Writing workshop for doctoral students.

She is an avid supporter of interdisciplinary teaching and was earlier Asst/Associate Professor at the Information & Technology Dept in Copenhagen Business School, and has taught courses at School of Communication and Journalism at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She has conducted courses in many countries to participants of various disciplines like Engineering, Medicine Sciences, Tourism and Law in executive programs.

Dr Sangwan has worked internationally with reputed B-Schools: Shantou University, Guangdong, China (2012-18), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore (2001-2010), Copenhagen Business School (CBS), Denmark (1998-2000), and Aston University in Birmingham, UK (1994-1998). She also did short post-docs at B-School of Imperial College, London, and UNU-Maastricht. She served as Academic Coordinator of a Doctoral Program at NTU, Singapore.

At Copenhagen Business School she was part of a global consortium team of nine major American and European b-schools that started an international EMBA program and served as its Academic Coordinator. She was Vice Dean during her short stint at Jindal Global Business School (2010-12) where her role was essentially that of institutional building. Over the years she has developed and contributed to several post degree programs, modules, international collaborations, and has wide experience of institutional building and academic leadership.

Her non-academic interests include reading about Indian philosophy and listening to world music of various genres. Her favourite city to live is Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
