Ramana Kumar B

B.Ramana Kumar is a Lawyer enrolled at the Madras High Court and is a registered Insolvency Professional. He is the founder of OvoPax Legal, a corporate law firm. Ramana was the Special Counsel for Income tax till June 2021 for International Tax and Transfer Pricing for South India and is presently the Senior Standing Counsel for Central Government for Income Tax, GST, and Customs at the Madras High Court. He also represents the clients at NCLT and NCLAT and also provides consultancy in IBC matters.

Ramana was an Independent Director in one of the largest railway PSU ie. Dedicated freight Corridor Corporation Ltd. from July 2019-21. Ramana is also an active photographer and has won many national and international prizes from over 50 countries and regularly holds exhibitions of the photographs he takes. He also takes classes on photography, travel, and related subjects. Ramana is a Teacher, Speaker, Writer, Author, TV Debate Panelist, Chartered Accountant, Advocate, Insolvency Professional, an Award-Winning Photographer, and an active Social Worker.

Ramana teaches Business laws and related subjects and is a visiting faculty in IIT Madras, IIT Jodhpur, RBI and Income Tax training institutes and Colleges and certain other institutions.

He is a regular faculty for Insolvency and Bankruptcy code in the Institute of chartered Accountants of India, Cost and Works Accountants of India and Institute of Company Secretaries of India and has trained many professionals to become Insolvency Professionals.
