COE-IP
The Special Interest Group on Intellectual Property at SME promotes interdisciplinary research, policy engagement, and capacity building in the domain of intellectual property rights. It focuses on patents, copyrights, trademarks, technology transfer, innovation management, and the interface between IP and emerging technologies. The SIG seeks to strengthen India’s innovation ecosystem by supporting evidence-based policy inputs, industry collaboration, and academic inquiry. Through research projects, training programmes, advisory initiatives, and stakeholder dialogue, it aims to enhance institutional understanding of IP strategy, governance, and commercialisation in a knowledge-driven economy.
