FOCUS ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The practice of entrepreneurship and the promotion of entrepreneurial spirit is one of the central pillars at IIT Jodhpur which has been expressed in the establishment of the School of Management and Entrepreneurship. At SME, we believe in embedding the entrepreneurial thought in various contexts through our teaching, research and training endeavours.

We recognize that our country needs entrepreneurs across domains, whether it is at campus incubators, indigenous businesses, the social sector or large organizations. We are committed to creating this essential life-blood for our economy and indeed for the world at large. We believe that entrepreneurship is a skill and a mindset which can be taught through a focus on practice. Through various school level initiatives, through our immediate access to the institute's incubator i.e. Technology Innovation and Start-up Center (TISC) and through collaboration with other institutes in Jodhpur (NIFT, NLU, AIIMS etc), SME is well placed to light up and propel the entrepreneurial spirit and ambitions of its denizens.
