| Light-weight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) is a centralized authentication server used for online service portals, like Online Academic Registration System (OARS), Faculty Academic Profile (FAP), Personal Website Hosting, and Online Fee Payment. |

HPC is a cluster consists of a large number of interconnected machines. Each machine is very much like your own desktop computer, except it’s much more powerful. Like your desktop computer, each machine (often referred to as node) has a CPU, some memory, and a hard disk. The nodes running your programs are usually called compute nodes. | This is personal web hosting facility for Faculty Members, Students, as well as for Academic Staff Members of IIT Jodhpur. Members can host their personal website at IITJ server (http://home.iitj.ac.in) by following the steps mentioned here (Click Here). Thus created website can be viewed at home.iitj.ac.in/~user where “user” is the email id of the user in iitj domain. |

The IITJ Mobile VPN (Virtual private Network) with SSL client is a software application that is installed on a remote computer. The client makes a secure connection from the remote computer to your protected network through an unsecured network, such as the Internet. | 9. | The dialing procedure for accessing Intercom, local, STD & ISD facilities from your extension phone is as follows: |

1. Within the campus dial without any special number add-on.
2. Local call at Jodhpur landline: Dial 9 then followed by seven digits of landline number without area code. (I.e. 9*******) 3. Call anywhere in Rajasthan / India: Dial 9 before the destination number.
4. Call outside of India not require to add 9 before the destination number. |
