The Rishabh Centre for Research and Innovation in Clean Energy (RCRIC) offers Ph.D. programme in areas aligned with its major research themes. The programme provides opportunities for advanced research in various domains of clean energy, including energy harvesting, storage, efficiency, alternative fuels, and smart grids.

Eligibility for PhD. Programme

The general eligibility requirements for admission to the PhD programme include, but are not limited to:

• Master’s degree in Engineering or Science with at least 60% marks or a 6.0/10 CPI or CGPA for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC category candidates (55% marks for SC/ST/PD candidates),

OR

• B.Tech. or B.S. (4 years) or equivalent degree with a valid GATE score, and with at least 60% marks or a 6.0/10 CPI or CGPA for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC category candidates (55% marks for SC/ST/PD candidates),

OR

• B.Tech. or B.S. (4 years) or equivalent degree without a valid GATE score, with at least 60% marks or a 6.0/10 CPI or CGPA for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC category candidates (55% marks for SC/ST/PD candidates).

*(Admission in this case is subject to qualifying for the GATE exam within one year of admission to the programme.)

Admission to the PhD programme will follow the Institute's guidelines for postgraduate programmes.

Fellowship and Financial Support

PhD students admitted to RCRIC will receive a monthly fellowship as per the Ministry of Education (MoE) standards and IIT Jodhpur Institute norms. In addition, high-performing students demonstrating exceptional research progress may be considered for additional financial support, conference travel grants, or project-based fellowships under sponsored research projects.
