1. Works towards the Institute's commitment to maintaining a work environment wherein Faculty, Staff, and Students from different communities can work in a coherent environment;

2. Implementation of Government of India Reservation policies / Welfare measures for SC / ST / OBC / PWD / EWS / LGBTQ & other Minority Communities about the Admission of Students, the Recruitment of Faculty and Non-faculty positions and other benefits, as applicable;

3. Responsible for addressing Academic and Non-academic issues and problems faced by the students belonging to the SC/ ST / OBC/ PWD / EWS / LGBTQ & other Minority Communities;

4. Also responsible for addressing the problems / issues received from Faculty and Staff Members belonging to these communities of the Institute;

5. The Cell will be entrusted to maintain a dedicated Webpage on the Institute's Website (with the help of the Webmaster) to enable the SC / ST / OBC/ PWD / EWS / LGBTQ & other Minority Community Students and others to lodge complaints, if any; and

6. The Cell is also entrusted with organizing events towards the sensitization among the Students, Faculty, and Staff to desist from any act of discrimination against SC / ST / OBC/ PWD / EWS / LGBTQ & other Minority Community Students on the grounds of their social origin.
