The Objectives of the Inclusivity Cell are given below:

 

  1. Works towards the Institute's commitment to maintaining a work environment wherein Faculty, Staff, and Students from different communities can work in a coherent environment without discrimination on the grounds of caste, creed, age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage/civil partnership, pregnancy/maternity/paternity, race, religion, belief, sex, or sexual orientation;
  2. Implementation of Government of India Reservation policies / Welfare measures for Scheduled Castes (SC) / Scheduled Tribes (ST) / Other Backward Class (OBC)/ Persons with Disability (PWD) / Economically Weaker Section (EWS) / LGBTQ & other Minority Communities about the Admission of Students, the Recruitment of Faculty and Non-faculty positions, and other benefits, as applicable;
  3. Responsible for addressing Academic and Non-academic issues and problems faced by the students belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) / Scheduled Tribes (ST) / Other Backward Class (OBC)/ Persons with Disability (PWD) / Economically Weaker Section (EWS) / LGBTQ & other Minority Communities;
  4. Also responsible for addressing the problems/issues received from Faculty and Staff Members belonging to these communities of the Institute;
  5. The Cell maintains a dedicated web page on the Institute's Website to enable the person to lodge complaints, if any, without discrimination on the grounds of caste, creed, age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage/civil partnership, pregnancy/maternity/paternity, race, religion, belief, sex, or sexual orientation;
  6. The Cell is also entrusted with organizing events towards the sensitization among the Students, Faculty, and Staff to desist from any act of discrimination against caste, creed, age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage/civil partnership, pregnancy/maternity/paternity, race, religion, belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
