Dr. Shrutidhara Sarma, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur has been awarded the prestigious WISER research grant 2022 to pursue a collaborative project with TU Braunschweig, Germany on development of a smart sensor patch for synchronized non-invasive ventilation of preterm infants.

WISER Program: Women Involvement in Science and Engineering Research (WISER) scheme under the Indo-German Science & Technology Centre (IGSTC) was established by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Government of Germany. This scheme intends to build scientific capacity, retain and promote women researchers in India/Germany by utilising complementary expertise in science, technology, innovation and research partnerships since women are underrepresented in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) due to varied reasons.
