Dr Sushmita Jha, Associate Professor in the Department of Bioscience and Bioengineering at IIT Jodhpur has been awarded the “Smt Kusum Sharma Award for a Young Woman Scientist”, by the Indian Academy of Biomedical Sciences for the year 2020.

The Indian Academy of Biomedical Sciences (Regd.) was established with the objective of promoting translational research covering different human diseases and their management. The Academy serves the purpose of disseminating knowledge and promoting academic excellence in the field of Biomedical Sciences. The Smt. Kusum Sharma Award for a Young Woman Scientist is awarded to a young woman scientist who has made outstanding contributions in Biomedical Research.
