IIT Jodhpur organized its 13th Foundation Day Celebrations online on 02 August 2020. The event was graced by eminent personalities and policy-makers of the country, such as Dr. P. K. Mishra, Principal Secretary to the Hon'ble PM as Foundation Day Speaker, Mr. N. K. Singh, Chairman of 15th Finance Commission, as the Chief Guest, Mr. Amit Khare, Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, as the Guest of Honor, and Dr. R. Chidambaram, Chairman BoG, IIT Jodhpur who presided over the event. The event was also attended by Mr. Rakesh Ranjan, Additional Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, and His Highness Jodhpur, Maharaja Gaj Singh. The event was webcast Live on the Institute’s YouTube and Facebook Channels.

The event started with Welcome Address by Director, IIT Jodhpur, Professor Santanu Chaudhury who also announced the Teaching and Research Excellence Awards for 2019-20. This was followed by illuminating addresses and talks by the esteemed guests, and an exciting Q&A session. The event also witnessed release of the first issue of IIT Jodhpur’s Science & Education Magazine, TechScape (www.iitj.ac.in/techscape2020), and the screening of a short film showcasing our campus and its activities, IIT Jodhpur: A Pearl in the Desert (hyperlink: https://youtu.be/CK2ZINeVKcQ).
