| The Aeromodelling Club of Students Science & Technology Society conducted a workshop on Construction of Balsa Glider on October 03, 2019. Over 50 students attended this workshop with full enthusiasm. The participants learned the science of glider avionics and maneuver control. Participants were then provided material to construct a fully-functional, ready-to-fly balsa glider within a two-week period. Ten teams successfully constructed the glider after a few revisions. The Balsa Glider Competition among these teams was held on October 20, 2019 near the Lecture Hall Building Ground, and performances were evaluated based on time and distance of the flight. Team Boeing, led by Aryan Garg, won the competition, while Teams Golagliders and Comet finished in second and third places respectively. The top three teams were awarded prizes. |
