Dr. Farhat Naz (Assistant Professor of Sociology) and a team of faculty members from the engineering departments have won an interdisciplinary project on ‘mapping the waqf with technology’ funded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India. Awarded in January 2022, wherein Dr.Farhat Naz is a Co-PI in the project.

Dr. Farhat Naz (Assistant Professor of Sociology), gave an invited talk on 23 February 2022, at the ISTR (International Society for Third-Sector Research) Panel Discussion Webinar on Responding to Crises: Civil Society Experiences in Different Asia-Pacific Regimes – ‘The Case of the State Kerala in India'.

Research scholar Amir Sohel & Dr. Farhat Naz (Assistant Professor of Sociology), presented a paper title ‘Hype and Hope of Sustainable Forest Management: A Story from Post-Colonial Forest Policy in India’ at the Anthropology in India: Contemporary Debates and Future Possibilities Conference, organised by the IUAES-WAU World Anthropology Pre-Congress 2022, held at the University of Lucknow, India, on 25-26 March 2022.

Research scholar Kritika Mishra & Dr. Farhat Naz (Assistant Professor of Sociology), presented a paper title ‘Unfolding Climate Change Policy: A Gendered Perspective’ at the Anthropology in India: Contemporary Debates and Future Possibilities Conference, organised by the IUAES-WAU World Anthropology Pre-Congress 2022, held at the University of Lucknow, India, on 25-26 March 2022.
