Highly ordered nitrogen containing carbon nanospheres (CS) and nanobubbles (CNB) were obtained by introducing nitrogen into the carbon framework increases the basic nature improving the carbon surface and acid interaction in the synthesized materials. The synthesized materials are used in conjecture with earlier reported modified TiO₂ for use as photoanode. Both the material - CNB and CS showed notable power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 10.40% with enhanced Jsc (20.20 mA/cm²) and Voc (0.73 V).
