Professor Madhu Dikshit joined IIT Jodhpur on 13 February 2018 as Visiting Professor. She obtained M.Sc. Degree in Biochemistry from Allahabad University in 1977 and Ph.D. Degree from Kanpur University & Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow in 1983. She joined the Department of Pharmacology, Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow, in 1987 as Scientist B, and worked there in various capacities. She retired from CDRI, Lucknow, as its Director in November 2017. |

Professor Dikshit’s research interest areas are Molecular Pharmacology and Redox Biology. Along with being a Fellow of NASI, IAS, and INSA, she is also a J. C. Bose National Fellow under Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. During her tenure at CDRI, Lucknow, Professor Dikshit received several awards and recognitions for her work; of these a few latest are Professor N. R. Dhar Memorial Lecture Award (NASI) 2017, VASVIK Award 2012, Smt. Chandaben Mohanbhai Patel Industrial Research Award for Women Scientists 2014, and Professor Darshan Ranganathan Memorial Lecture (INSA) 2013. Professor Dikshit is an avid researcher with 17 sponsored research projects, about 200 research publications and 9 patents to her credit. She has guided 32 Ph.D. Students. |
