The Centre would actively engage in technology development, technology translation, and entrepreneurial ventures for social outreach, and also pursue co-development of technology platforms with the edtech industry.

The Centre would also actively offer mentorship and consultancy in the area of instructional design in alignment with the NEP objective of helping educational institutions adopt quality practices in blended and hybrid learning.

Elements of gamification, immersive extended reality, accessibility, multilingual mode of instruction would enable the creation of unique global online courses and academic programs of IIT Jodhpur in both synchronous and asynchronous modes that would expand finite resources and allow the educators to reach out to millions of students. The Centre would collaborate with industry and startups to co-develop technology and platforms for education technology.

Addressing the language needs of students from vernacular mediums, the application of AI and software engineering would also allow solutions, such as multilingual learning management systems and auto-translated video lectures.

In order to bring all educators together in the levels of skills and pedagogical training (addressing SDG Target 4.C on increasing supply of quality educators around the world), the Centre would create teacher training programs and conduct faculty development programs, workshops, and conferences to disseminate ideas and impart specialized training to the educators. The performance or success of the workshops/training programs would also be quantified and audited in terms of before and after competency of the educators through questionnaires and interviews.
