Concentrated solar thermal (CST) technologies offer versatility, in terms of utilization, over other renewable energy technologies, especially, in Indian scenario. Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IITJ) is committed to the development of indigenous sub-systems for CST technologies and dissemination of knowledge. In this context, IITJ is organizing a National Conference on Solar Thermal Energy Technologies (NCSTET) during 26 - 28 February 2016 at Jodhpur.
This conference will provide a platform for technologists, academicians, scientists and researchers to share their knowledge and ideas pertaining to recent developments on CST technologies. The conference will focus on multi-disciplinary R&D approach to design and develop sub-systems for CST technologies. The objective is to indigenize the required technologies and find solutions for adaptation in Indian conditions. Moreover, field experts will share their findings on policy and identify the gap areas to pave the way for future developments. Invited lectures by specialists, followed by contributed talks and poster presentations will consolidate the current status and future research directions in CST technologies, especially, in Indian context.
The conference welcomes
- Faculty members and students from academic institutes and universities;
- Researchers and scientists from R&D organizations and industries;
- Practitioners from industry and policy makers from Government, academia, R&D organizations and industries.
