Reaching Jodhpur

Jodhpur is well connected by road, rail and air. Trains are available from all parts of the country to reach Jodhpur (Visit the Indian Railways Official website: http://www.indianrail.gov.in ). There are direct flights and hopping flights from New Delhi and Mumbai to Jodhpur. Deluxe and express buses ply to Jodhpur from Delhi, Jaipur and many other cities (Visit the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation Official website: http://www.rsrtc.gov.in/ ).



From the Railway Station to the Institute

If you are arriving at Jodhpur Junction by rail, come out through Platform No.1 exit gate. You can take a prepaid auto/taxi for the Institute (IIT Rajasthan) situated on the Old Residency Road, Ratanada, Jodhpur 342011. You may ask the driver to take you to Ratanada circle near MBM Engg. College. It takes 10-15 min drive from the Railway Station to reach the institute.


From the Airport to the Institute

You can take a prepaid auto/taxi for the Institute (IIT Rajasthan) situated on the Old Residency Road, Ratanada, Jodhpur 342011. You may ask the driver to take you to Ratanada circle near MBM Engg. College. It takes 5 min drive from the airport to reach the institute.


From the Railway Station to IIT Residential Complex

If you are arriving at Jodhpur Junction by rail, come out through Platform No.1 exit gate. You can take a prepaid auto/taxi for the IIT Rajasthan Residential Complex, GPRA, Kendranchal, Vivek Vihar (Near Indian Oil Residential Complex and Bharat Petroleum Residential Complex) situated on the Pali Road. You may ask the driver to take you to Jhalamand Chauraha on Pali Road from where this complex is 3 km straight ahead towards Pali. The day time charges for auto-rickshaw should be about Rs.120/- from the railway station to the IIT Residential Complex on Pali Road. Night charges are usually higher (you may need to bargain with the auto-rickshaw driver).


From the Airport to IIT Residential Complex

You can take a prepaid auto/taxi for the IIT Rajasthan Residential Complex, Kendranchal, Vivek Vihar (Near Indian Oil Residential Complex and Bharat Petroleum Residential Complex) situated on the Pali Road. The directions to the driver are that same as those given above.
